Grapevine Wood Flooring is a wood flooring company working in Grapevine, TX and the surrounding cities, with more than 20 years of installing, refinishing and repairing hardwood floors in this part of North Texas. We work on houses built in every decade from the nineteenth century forward, from framed floors over crawl space in the older housing near the old townsite to post-tension slabs in the newest subdivisions.

That range is the reason we ask what year a house was built before we talk about product. The right floor for a 1985 slab is not the right floor for an 1890s raised-floor cottage, and nothing about an address tells you which one is under the carpet until somebody looks.

Our Approach

Installer rolling underlayment out across a plywood subfloor in a Grapevine house, the laid sheet turned up at the wall before any board goes down.

We measure before we quote. On a slab, that means moisture testing recorded as a number before an installation date is set, rather than after the wood is already stacked in the house. On engineered flooring, it means measuring the wear layer before we price a refinish, because under about three millimeters there is nothing left to sand and pretending otherwise only produces a worse floor. Wood is acclimated inside the house, in the room it is going into, never in the garage and never left on the truck.

We price repair, refinish and replace in that order, and we name the cheaper option first whenever it is genuinely the right one. One crew carries a job from tear-out to final coat, and the sanding is never subcontracted out to somebody you have not met. Every sanding job runs under dustless containment that is set up and shown to you before the first machine runs, and every job ends with a written cure and occupancy schedule handed over before the first coat goes down, including when pets and furniture come back.

A few of our habits exist because of how work goes wrong here rather than how it goes right. We sequence floor work after foundation repair and plumbing rather than ahead of it, so the floor is not paying for somebody else’s schedule. When a floor has been through a water loss we document it for the claim file room by room, with photographs, moisture readings and a line-of-sight map. And in the historic districts, existing material is salvaged, stored secured and reattached rather than thrown in a skip, because original flooring in those houses cannot be bought again at any price.

What We Do

We handle hardwood floor refinishing, engineered hardwood flooring, hardwood floor repair, subfloor repair and floor leveling, water damaged hardwood floor repair, hardwood stairs, wide plank and pattern flooring, solid hardwood flooring, and commercial wood flooring for tasting rooms, restaurants, retail and offices. If you are weighing up a new floor, a refinish, or a repair you are not sure is worth doing, ask us for a free estimate and we will tell you which of the three we would actually recommend.
